Catching Up

I know that at least my MIl is glad that I have gotten back to the blog :)

An update in a nutshell......

Christmas was great ( if I can remember back that far!!). We spent time with family in NJ and NY minus Don. OK, so that part was NOT great! The two week vacation at Chirstmas time was postponed for him due to LOTS of isues at work, ugh...
We came home from the Holidays and both the girls and I ended up sick. They both had bad upper respitory while I ended up with walking pnemonia. Whew, that was a rough few weeks.

Mid January found Don and I rehashing the question of whether to build onto the house or look for a new one. After weighting the pros and cons (like living in a construction zone with two little kids!!), we decided to put the house on the market and look for a new one. So the last few weeks have been full of cleaning, purging, painting and fixing. Don finally got one week of vacation last week, but he defintely worked harder around here than he would of a work!!
Notice the nice yellow wall, yes it once was a full wall of wallpaper. Ugh, stripping wallpaper is no fun!! But Don is a GREAT painter - he can paint up to the ceiling and corners with no tape, just freehand. So he did all the cutting it and I did the easy job of using the roller where I could not mess much up!

So we have a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath going on the market tomorrow if anyone wants to move to DE !! Now it is just having to keep the house ready to show at a moments notice.

Oh, and then there is finding a new one. We have looked at a bunch, and have tagged a number more online, so hopefully we will have some traffic here quickly and we can get serious about that end. We know we want to stay local, within the school district we are in, or the one to our north. Austin was accepted to Saint Thomas More Prepatory HS for September, so we want to be not to far from there as well (next town over).

Isabella is a wirlwind these days. At almost 2.5, she is so independant, wants to do everything herself! I turned off her bedroom light tonight and she got back up, turned it on, and said "never, never, never mommy you do, I DO IT!". I called her a tough cookie today over something she did (that I don't even remember), and she said "yes, I have a cookie mommy, brown - chocolate, pleaseeeeeee". Boy, two is fun, but trying somedays. Like the other day when Austin goes into the living room and I hear him say, "Uh oh MOM!!". Well, lets just say that it is a good thing we got the 5 year warrentee on our new couches. I have had them in to clean them a few times in the past year so far, but this one takes the cake! Don's response was at least it was not on the newly painted walls! If they can't repair or clean the couches / kitchen table chairs they get replaced (for 5 years) - best $139 we could spend with two little kids.

Angelina is growing so quick. She has two quickly growing bottom teeth - finally!! Weekend before last we made a quick trip to NY (once again minus Don) for my Dads retirement party, and she was just starting to scoot around. Well today she is fulling crawling, she crawled all teh way down the hall today! She has an eye for my potted plants already, so no leaving her alone for a minute! She loves to laugh, and Bell can really make her laugh up a storm by making animal noises or dancing for her.

We got about an inch of snow today and Austin and his friend JD were already hoping for no school tomorrow - no such luck!! The minute it started snowing Bell wanted her boots to go make a snowman - no such luck there either, but she did get to go play in it for a little anyway!

Phoebe loves the snow~~~

Once the mittens started to fall off it was time to come in!!!

Austin and Lina stayed warm inside watching the snow.
